The challenge

Churchill Group wanted a consistent, values‑led approach to leadership development that would support leaders at every level. Operating across regions, services and roles, the organisation needed confident leaders who could build strong relationships, communicate effectively, think commercially and lead people well in demanding environments.

Rather than one‑off courses, Churchill wanted a joined‑up leadership journey that developed individuals while strengthening leadership culture across the Group.


The solution

Own Your Future was designed and delivered as a structured leadership development journey, beginning with Front Line Managers and later extending into a Leaders of Leaders pathway.

The programme focuses on practical leadership behaviours rather than theory, using real workplace challenges to build confidence, consistency and capability. Content includes self‑awareness, emotional intelligence, communication, relationship building, coaching skills, problem solving and commercial mindset, supported throughout by individual coaching.

A consistent behavioural framework is used across all cohorts, creating a shared leadership language and approach while allowing content to be tailored to role and responsibility.


Scale and progression

Since launch, Own Your Future has been delivered across eight cohorts, supporting leaders from front-line management through to senior leadership roles. Following early success, the programme was extended year‑on‑year, expanded into additional parts of the Group, and developed into a dedicated Leaders of Leaders programme.

This progression ensures leadership development remains connected as people grow, reinforcing consistency while evolving focus and depth.


Results and impact

Across all seven cohorts, Own Your Future has achieved a +100 Net Promoter Score, with every participant stating they would recommend the programme to others.
